An Official Of The Law Finally Said it.
The line has been drawn on the limits of ‘Freedom’ under the Constitution.
If you don’t know who Kim Davis is, allow me a brief refresher.
She’s the bigoted Kentucky Evangelical who in 2015, as an elected county official, decided to impose her narrow-minded religious views on others by denying marriage licenses to same-sex couples in violation of Federal Law. She, of course, used the underhanded smokescreen of not issuing ANY marriage licenses on the day the licenses for same-sex unions were requested, but that game fooled no one. She blatantly used her position as an elected official, a position requiring her by oath to serve EVERYONE in her district, to unfairly trample on the rights of certain people she was elected to serve, but with whom she had a fundamental ‘moral’ dispute. Recently though, in a win for fair-minded people everywhere, a Federal Judge called her out on her hateful behavior by asserting that one citizen CAN NOT use their right to religious freedom to deny the constitutional rights of others.
She, of course, became a media ‘darling’ for a whole host of like-minded Righties out there who would love for nothing more than to be able to run roughshod over every minority group which refuses to conform to their narrow views on acceptable citizenship. Even if…
