Bits and Pieces: Mid July
Not Too Long; Not Too Short; Possibly Just Right…
This is the first in a series of posts which will document the various things which float in and out of my brain pan on a regular basis. Some of this material could be expanded upon for a larger article, but my brain likes to chuck out random stuff so often that smaller is the best I can do most of the time.
Issue 1: Thoughts on Sensory Processing Sensitivity.
Yesterday was an art day. I took the bus down to the local community art studio (a creative space for people with mental health issues, disabilities and brain injuries run by a local charity) for some creative time and then ran across town to my favorite retail arts and crafts store/studio to paint a ceramic piece I intend to give to the makeup counter lady who works at my local Walgreens.
We have a good, casual rapport whenever I stop in for medications or other supplies and, naturally, I’ve mentioned to her before about the Arts and Crafts store. She’s mentioned she has a granddaughter who likes to visit her so I figured having a sample of the product on offer and a little literature about the store would be good to help her stimulate the child’s creativity.
