I was born a man, I grew up a man, I have never felt that I was anything other than a man, biologically speaking, and it’s no secret that I absolutely despise modern ‘man’ culture. Men have, historically, enjoyed the greater share of the cultural spoils and dominated our various cultural narratives owing to the fact that, thousands of years ago, we aggressively asserted ourselves and began to dominate our species through mass violence, throwing out of balance the previous equation, where women held a more honored position in our ancient societies; unleashing on humanity a warrior mentality that is now taking us down a misogynist ‘black’ rabbit hole we’re better off avoiding.
For one, the G.I. Jokes who populate the modern U.S. military talk a good game about the courage and honor of the (non) ‘sacrifice’ that is military service, but it’s easy to talk about these things when your concept of warfare is little more evolved than it was when you were sitting in front of your TV as a kid watching films like Pearl Harbor or U-571, or playing Call of Duty, SOCOM or some other useless video game. These modern armchair warriors haven’t a clue what it means to have courage in the midst of battle. They’re too busy guiding drones with their glorified Atari controllers from the comfort of a command module at an air-conditioned military…
