During the early pandemic, I put together a puzzle of this work. It was only the center panel (mostly) but it was so detailed and interesting.

I can only imagine how important a work like this must have been in a society where basic literacy wasn't a guarantee. What an impact it must have had for people who may not have had the luxury of media in the ways we now take for granted. One could easily imagine a viewer taking in a painting like this in much the same way we take in movies today.
