I Have A Thought…
…and it’s “FUCK YOUR PRAYERS!“
It’s beyond time to grow a pair and ban guns in this country. It hasn’t even been a week and Uvalde is old news. At least 38 more people have been shot since that tragedy as of today (Monday the 30th) with 5 of those dead.
I want an answer and I want it now! No thoughts and prayers, no talk of mental illness, no skirting the issue with Hallmark card sentiments and bureaucratic malfeasance; GUNS ARE INSTRUMENTS OF DEATH! So when are we going to ban guns in this fucking society, so as to keep them out of the hands of those willful monsters among us so ready to kill?!
I’m sick of this shit! The problem is not people. The problem is the fact that we’ve fetishized ‘freedom and liberty’ so badly in this failing, faded Republic that gun control is, at best, a sick, twisted joke. It’s time for a safer society, and if that means we have to beat down a few narrow-minded gun nuts to get there, I’m all in favor. And I’ll tell you why.
If the lives of your fellow citizens are so meaningless to you, that you would die to defend your right to own a gun before you’d die to preserve their safety, you just aren’t human. You don’t deserve any consideration humans are given. You’re a fucking monster and you deserve to be treated like the demon you are.
