I'd have to go with Rêverie by Alphonse Mucha as my top pick here. It's a bit like some of the milder steampunk art I occasionally favor.

On the subject of Klimt, I've heard it said that he used a lot of gold in pieces like The Kiss as a way to elevate the idea of gold back toward a sort of 'divine' state, owing to the rampant and gaudy materialism of the age in which he lived and worked. He valued love more than wealth, as I understand it, and used gold in conjunction with certain themes to help raise it above the rampant greed of that 'gilded' era.
