It is indeed a long history your island has with conflict, even before it was an island, I'm sure. The Romans subjugated the Celts, then the Germanic tribes and Vikings moved in centuries later, then the Normans invaded, War of the Roses, Cromwell...seems like it never ends.

One feels especially bad for all the aid workers, medical personnel and diplomats who have to clean up after the 'heroes' have buggered it all up...
