It would be so fucking great if platonic dating were a thing, so that people could just get to know each other without the tension of the whole 'will they/wont they' bone motif sitting quietly in the background. People are much easier to talk to without certain assumptions and expectations on the table. Those things can be held over until a certain degree of trust and compatibility is established.
