It's our greatest weakness, our tendency to champion fairness so liberally. We believe so badly in giving everyone a fair say that we forget to recognize that not everyone deserves a fair say, particularly when our egalitarian ways allow bad actors the ability to obfuscate reality with such dishonest tactics. We have to be better at demonizing and shaming the dishonest obscurantists on the right. It's definitely time to grow a bigger spine and get a little meaner.
