It's pathetic. Someone is always misappropriating the bible to serve an agenda of power, to maintain authority over others. That's basically what you see whenever someone is quoting verses to a nonbeliever. The assumption is one of moral purity. Whomever is the 'better' christian is the one on top, in more ways than one.

As long as this tendency to abuse contrived power exists, religion is not worthy of consideration, nevermind respect.
