Pissing and Moaning about Medium
I’ve noticed of late that some tags I’ve used in the past aren’t coming up in the suggestions when I type them for a story. I don’t want to cry foul on anything here, because I have no proof, but I have to wonder if Medium isn’t deliberately eliminating certain tags in order to obscure older posts from the search function. So do yourself a favor, check your old stories to make sure the tags are still relevant.
Also, to harp on with Medium quirks a little more, my last piece presently has 7 views, 1 read and 3 fans… Will someone please, for the love of fucking Quetzalcoatl, tell me how it’s possible to have three fans on a piece that has only one read…?
Bad 80s
There’s been plenty of talk about how horrible certain 80's films are with regard to sexual ethics. Two of the biggest are Sixteen Candles and Revenge of the Nerds. In the former, the talk always drifts to the kitchen scene between Jake and Farmer Ted where the issue of violating a passed out party girl comes up. With the latter, the scene in question is the one where Lewis essentially rapes the head cheerleader by leading her to believe that she’s copulating with her boyfriend.
