On Changes and Transformations…
A Prompt Response.
As Kamna Kirti was kind enough to include me in the prompt list on her last piece, I thought I would take a moment to post something relevant, albeit brief, related therein, though probably not as hopeful as she would have liked. See the original piece here -
In her write-up, she speaks of revelations and transformative experiences, what we might call epiphanies, in relation to seeing deeper details and the deeper meaning in classic works of art, of insights into life as we age and discover better ways to live. While I am certainly predisposed to art as a way of life, and I am all in favor of a less materialist existence, I can’t see it fully from her perspective…or perhaps it’s better to say feel it…as a surreal, transformative thing, these experiences on which she speaks, called life.
