Sadly, we're almost to the point where ego overrides reason, where any bit of critical inquiry is taken as an assault on personal dignity, thus no one can critique another because all creators are beyond reproach simply for being creative...so the creative ego believes...

If the rules say no one can be criticized, regardless of how unintellectual are their offerings, then the rules aren't worth a damn. As long as pseudoscience and blind assumption are allowed free reign in society, creative types will never be beyond criticsm.
