This is one of the reasons this country has gone to hell - style over substance being the preferred paradigm. We're never going to evolve socially if we constantly take it as a matter of individualist pride to chase warmy warm feels rather than taking the time to do the hard work of cultivating a firm introspective sense of self evaluation.
