Let’s be honest, The Book of Boba Fett, as legendary and as interesting as the character may be, is merely the latest entry in a long-running media franchise Disney appropriated in order to keep fanboys sucking off of their ‘Wonderful World’ teat for as long as possible. Disney figured out a long time ago that they couldn’t survive off of home video releases of their classic films forever, so they started diversifying their media portfolio; first with newer animation innovations, then with bloated retail outfits in every upscale mall chocked full of crap designed to make kids pester their parents into retail submission, and then by trying to suck up every popular thing under the sun that the average Joe was willing to buy. Among their more notable acquisitions are Marvel, which has been supplying us with a steady stream of high-quality, action-packed, silver screen nerd-ery for over twenty years now, and the afore-mentioned Star Wars franchise.
