The libraries where I live didn't allow in-person use during COVID but they did try to stay operational by giving people a curbside pickup option, so that was good.

You're absolutely right to point it out though, the trap of monetization. Everyone it trying to exploit for that extra dollar, the last drop of blood from the economic stone if you will. We definitely need more spaces where the less fortunate can go and just be for a period of time.
