The Snoring Fuckwit Marches On…Sadly.

If there’s one absurdity with which I’ve lost patience, it’s this tendency for minimally intellectual knuckle-draggers to complain about ‘Wokeness’, ‘Woke’ politics, or whatever the hell these people call it.
I’m all for taking pride in calling myself ‘woke’ because I like seeing reality on a deeper level. It means I’m not prone to the idol worship perpetuated by your modern newsstand rags like People or UsWeekly. It means I get to look at gun nuts and disregard them as inhuman for defending the 2nd Amendment to the hilt after tragedies like Sandy Hook, Parkland and Uvalde. Being woke means I get to look at all the progress we’ve made and lament that we’re still making stupid human decisions despite the fact that we’ve grown infinitely more technologically sophisticated than our ancestors, despite being barely an iota more evolved in our social sophistication.
And it’s technological sophistication (or rather the illusion of it) which has led me to this moment, to be here with you condemning the idiocy of these people. I’ve recently had the (non)pleasure of reading two Medium essays about rat-brained fan boys pissing and moaning like spoiled children over the fact that newer iterations of Star Trek are too ‘woke’ in terms of how they treat the source…
