This is why Elon Musk cannot be allowed to take control of a platform like Twitter. As the previous president proved, giving manipulative exploiters free reign to tell as many lies as they want, without consequence, is bad for our society. As long as there are sociopaths willing to lie and manipulate in order to attain power, absolute freedom has to be constrained by a healthy respect for social responsibility, by whatever means are necessary to prevent bad actors from causing harm.
