This is why I use Linux as an OS, GIMP as a photo editor, LibreOffice for documents, try for open source/Creative Commons resources in my daily affairs, still own CDs, still use my local library, etc.
As long as you train your mind to think outside the bounds of the corporate walled gardens of modern consumerism, they'll never be able to keep from you the skills needed to open the gate and walk out, to find more than they are offering.
I also never participate in rewards programs either. My personal data and privacy are worth more than the few meager pennies I'd accrue through overspending on things that aren't worth buying. Plus, I like the time tested model of being able to bargain shop.
Simplify desires, cultivate the mind, reject the propaganda of modern Capitalism.
